CITV launches series two of popular children's storybooks with deaf presenter
More of the best children's stories are being brought to life in British Sign Language,
in the second series of CITV's Signed Stories.
The first story on Saturday January 7 at 6am is The Ant and the Big Bad Bully Goat
by the award-winning author Andrew Fusek Peters.
Badger is happy living in his neat and
tidy burrow, until Big Bad Bully Goat
decides to move in! Who will help
Badger?
A great 'David and Goliath' story to
teach kids that size isn't everything.
CITV's Signed Stories is presented by ITV SignPost's Deaf Team Manager Joseph
Sheridan, who has two hearing daughters. He said: “Working on Signed Stories has
been a real joy – particularly as these are brilliant books which my own children love
to watch and read.”
Series one of Signed Stories on CITV was the first children's programme in ITV
history to be fronted by a deaf presenter, and it was the most watched programme in
its timeslot! You can see repeats of classic stories from series one including Dear
Zoo and Chimp and Zee on CITV – see itv.com/tvguide for more details.
